County Commissioners Support CDBG!On June 7, members of the Recluse Community Trust and others in the Recluse community convened with the county commissioners and presented our case for remodeling Recluse Hall. The commission, in response, enthusiastically sponsored an application for a Community Development Block Grant from the Wyoming Business Council for $260,734. The next step is to present our case to the Wyoming Business Council on September 22, 2005 in Lusk, Wyoming. If the community block grant is awarded we will be a long way toward raising the necessary funds!

Early Success and the Recluse Stars Talent ShowEven before the Recluse Community Trust was formed, a kick-off fundraiser was held last Fall. The Recluse Stars Talent Show raised over $5,000 and sent us on the way to our fundraising goal of $20,000 from our own community. Besides the much appreciated cash, pledges of in-kind donations of everything from cement blocks, to bathroom paint, log chinking, to dirt work has flowed in from all directions. That’s how they did it in 1934, and that’s how we’ll do it in 2006!
